distcc is a plan to spread builds of C, C++, Objective C or Objective C++ cipher across several machines on a network. distcc should always generate the same results as a local build, is elementary to install and usage, and is often two or more times faster than a local compile. distcc does not require whole machines to parcel a filesystem, receive synchronized clocks, or to receive the same libraries or header files installed. They can still receive different processors or operating systems, if cross-compilers are installed. What's New: Version 2.17: Performance improvements for distccmon-gnome. Added timeous for connection to servers, transmission of jobs and remote compilation. If the timeout expires, the job is unravel locally. This should realise distcc coping better if some or whole of the servers are unreachable or failing. Also add timeouts in server to rush out stalled or staccato clients. If remote compilation fails because of a sign in a later phase of the compilation causing an release with cipher >=128, retry compilation locally. Patch from Jakub Stachowski.
